January Product Reviews

Tonight I'm sitting in front of my computer confused- how could January be so long, but so short at the same time?!  Does anyone feel me on this or am I alone?  The last week of January was so, so busy for me and honestly, I'm glad it's over.  Bring on the weekend and the relaxation!

I used a few new products in January, most of which I'm now obsessed with and I'm so excited to share them with all of you!

ImPRESS Press On Gel Manicured Nails- Recently I wrote a post on self care and it’s all about these nails.  Check it out here!  I am COMPLETELY obsessed with them!

Kiss Vita Bond Nail Glue- The bottle was extremely hard to open, so hard in fact that I had to cut off all the outside packaging to do so.  That was just the first disappointment.  The second disappointment was that the bottle was only halfway full of the glue.  (I did some research on Amazon and others have had this exact same experience too.)  The first week I used this nail glue I stayed extra aware of how it was working.  The nail glue worked really well on about half of my nails and the other half had to be reglued once or twice during the seven days I wore the nails.  One nail came completely off on the third day and two more came completely off on the sixth day.  The others just came loose.  Of course it would be nice for none of the nails to come off or get lose until the end of the week, but this nail glue is gentle on my nails.  I can quickly wipe off the residue with nail polish remover and lemon essential oil and you would never know I had on fake nails prior to that, so I do love that.  After I’m out of this nail glue I’m going to try Kiss Brush On Nail Glue to see how I like it.

Tranquility Weighted Blanket-  I have tossed around the idea of getting a weighted blanket for a couple of months now, but the price tag scared me.  I wanted a good quality blanket without the hundred {or couple hundred} dollar price tag.  I don’t have insomnia, but I’m not the world’s best sleeper either.  I wake up multiple times throughout the night, but am typically able to go back to sleep pretty quickly.  I know that a good night’s sleep is important, but I couldn’t stop thinking that if I didn’t like the weighted blanket or it didn’t help me sleep it would be such a pain to return, so I never bit the bullet.  Earlier this month I was shopping at Target and walked by an endcap with weighted blankets.  I stopped to look at them and check the reviews using the Target app and in addition to the reviews I found, I found a 10% off bedding coupon.  That sealed the deal for me- 10% off and easy returns!  This weighted blanket is 12 pounds and quilted to keep all the beads in their respective places.  From my research that’s one way to tell the quality of a weighted blanket so I was pleased to see that.  I love sleeping with it!  It’s not huge, but big enough to cover me, and makes me feel so snug!  I do sleep with the comforter on top for warmth.  {Yes, I'm one of those people who sleep with no sheets, just the comforter.}  I’ve been sleeping with it for almost two weeks and there have only been two or three nights where I've woken up more than twice.  That's a win in my book!  I just got back from Target a little while ago and while I was there I picked up a second one for my husband.  Neither one of us are good at sharing blankets!

What new products did you try this month?  Are they any I need to try?  Let me know in the comments below!
